Kaili and Williams came up quickly behind them. Rifles raised, muzzle flash illuminated the Iraqi men’s faces as their bodies jerked and fell to the deck. Perfectly placed shots from Fire Team 1 dropped the terrorists in a heartbeat.

“Clear!” Williams yelled as Donovan and Miller entered the room.

At the table, his hands in the air, sat Kasieem.

“I surrender!” Kasieem said.

Kaili threw the man to the floor. He forced Kasieem’s hands behind his back and secured them with a zip-tie. Williams scoped the rest of the house.

Master Chief Miller looked over at Donovan and shook his head. “Seem too easy to you?” Miller asked his commanding officer.

Donovan nodded and looked around the room. “Yeah, only six guys and Kasieem?” he said. “Maybe we’re missing something.”

“Sir!” Williams called.

Donovan turned and ran to his teammate.
